We've developed our Superman idea further to create a slightly different version featuring Superwoman/Supergirl rather than Superman.
Ava's character would be in a bit of a state since she's lost her confidence and as a result, is having a difficulty making decisions. So, Supergirl would be sent to help her regain her confidence.
The start of the video would be similar to the Superman idea, so it would be comic book style. showing Supergirl receiving her mission.
Ava's character would then be shown having difficulty making any kind of decisions, no matter how trivial they are. For example, she would start in her bedroom in front of a large mirror, having difficulty deciding which lipstick to wear. Then Supergirl would appear and help her make this decision. She would also be having difficulty making other decisions, for example...
- Her friend wants her to go out somewhere but Ava can't decide whether she should go out or instead just stay at home feeling sorry for herself. This could be shown by maybe having 2 outfits on her bed (pyjamas and going out clothes) and Ava looking at them, unsure about what she should do.
- Ava would be walking past a good looking guy and seem unsure about whether or not she should talk to him, then Superwoman would push Ava in his direction, forcing her to try to talk to him
- She would also get the heel of her shoe stuck in a drain when there is a car approaching, and Supergirl would have to save Ava by pulling her out of the way.
- Towards the end, to show the progression that Ava's character has made, she could be shown having a problem with something (maybe finding something in her bag??), and then Superwoman/some other good looking guy, could offer to help and then Ava turns down that offer.
Then in the end, Supergirl would disappear, to show that she was really just a figment of Ava's imagination and really Ava has managed to overcome her confidence issues on her own. Then it would go back to the comic strip idea and show Ava closing the comic book to show the closure she has gained.
Throughout the video there would also be performance shots with Ava singing in front of various signposts with different decisions on them, much like in the White Town video. These signposts would be placed in various places around London, and as the video progresses, these performance shots would change from being during the night to day.
